The title of *Kyrios* [trans., “Lord”] can have two meanings in the Old Testament: it designates sometimes the Lordship of Yahweh, sometimes the incommunicable Name of the one true God. The New Testament transfers the title of *Kyrios* to Christ. Explaining this transfer is to define the Christian faith.
